Early morning pollinating

This morning, I got up at 6 a.m. to pollinate my flowers.

How do you do that?

Well, you take the “male” flower, peel off the petals, then find the “female” flower (you can recognize her from her child-bearing stem), peel back its petals, then stick the male bits into the female bits and rub around for awhile. Sounds pretty familiar, eh?

I did find some small female flowers, but had trouble peeling back their petals.

I couldn’t help feeling bit like a botanical pedophile.
