Behold the salad table!

After watching a video for making a salad table on Martha Stewart’s website, I thought, that seems easy enough! I can do that!
So I talked about it. A lot.
“You want to build a what?” people would ask.
“A SALAD TABLE,” I’d explain. “A table filled with soil where you grow lettuce.”
No one seemed too terribly impressed or interested. I mean why should they be. About $50 of wood, compost, seed and labor…you could probably buy 15 bags of lettuce at the store for that.
But build it I (or my husband) did. And hopefully we’ll have loads of delicious lettuce this fall.
