There’s no place like ohm: Phoenix yoga spots

I have a muffin top over my jeans. I’m stiff when I do the most mundane of physical tasks. My giant clothing still fits, but I can feel the tell-tale signs.
I need to work out.
My ears hurt when I run in the cold. My gym membership changed their fees. I’m thinking that it might be time to break out the yoga mat and start downward dogging.
My favorite spot:
A Desert Song
4811 N. 7th St.
Phoenix, AZ 85014
A Desert Song is my first…and favorite yoga studio in town. It doesn’t try too hard — and has the feeling of what a yoga studio should be.
If you want to make it hot:
Sumits Yoga
2107 E. Camelback Road, Suite A-28D
Phoenix, AZ 85016
Town & Country Shopping Center
New students can try out this brand new hot-yoga spot (literally, it’s 100+ degrees) for 2 weeks for only $20.
Bikram Yoga
40 E. Camelback Rd. #108
Phoenix, AZ 85012
NE corner of Uptown Plaza
Also offering $20 for your first 2 weeks of class, this hot yoga spot has been around for a few years.
Other spots:
Sutra Midtown Yoga

I think I’m going to purchase a yoga mat at A Desert Song, maybe some pens and paper at Arizona Art Supply, and browse all the cool stuff at Frances with a little less guilt.
