Spring in Spades

Last season’s Kate Spade collection was right up my alley. Some of their outfits felt like the designers invaded my mind and plucked out exactly what I wanted to wear.

This season, not so much.

5 spring basics just hit the site — with ideas of how to wear each one. Outfit at right is the only one I can see myself wearing — and that won’t happen due to the $495 price tag on the jacket.

Nothing to hoot about…

I’m not a purse girl. I buy one a season…MAYBE…and wear it into the ground (my current one has smooshed M&Ms at the bottom).

But I just viewed this owl bag on the Kate Spade site and fell in love with it.

It’s a little much. I can’t see it being a “go everywhere with everything” bag, but I love it’s ’70s quirkiness. And I love owls.

What I don’t love…it’s not available on the site.

Grrrrrr.
